Add your Big Draw event to win a watercolour set

October's Big Draw is very close! If you are planning an event, make sure you tell us by entering it on our website. We accept details throughout September and October, but for promotional purposes please list your event NOW.  Events entered by 1 September will go into a prize draw to win one of five watercolour sets.

Themes and Awards

In addition to 2011's Drawing Age theme we have added a new Fantastic Creatures theme. This will obviously appeal to natural history collections, environmental centres, parks, schools and nurseries, but it is open to everyone. The special prize accompanying this theme will be presented at our Spring Drawing Inspiration Awards ceremony. To enter, just complete the Drawing Inspiration Awards form as usual, ticking the Fantastic Creatures box.

Generously sponsored by Puffin, this Award celebrates Eric Carle's new picture book, The Artist Who Painted a Blue Horse, out on 4 October. You will find drawing sheets and pre-event posters on our website shortly to help prepare your own Fantastic Creatures inspired Big Draw.

The Campaign for Drawing needs you!

Like many charities, The Campaign for Drawing depends increasingly on its own fundraising initiatives to support its year-round work. We ask everyone interested in The Big Draw to become active supporters.

You can do this by joining our private view on 2 November of the ‘William Morris: Story, Memory, Myth’ exhibition at London’s most intriguing new cultural venue,Two Temple Place. Our hospitality includes a drinks reception, distinguished guides for a private tour of this wonderful building and its inaugural exhibition and a chance to draw. Tickets at £50 from the Campaign office.

Come Draw With Me! is a new fundraising project launching next month. It will encourage everyone with a passion for creativity to get together for communal drawing events at home, or in pubs and clubs, and to have fun while raising money for The Big Draw.
