300 Big Draw events... and counting Is yours there?
There are now nearly 300 October 2010 events listed at http://www.campaignfordrawing.org/bigdraw/search.aspx.
It’s not too late to register, add or edit your event details. We
work hard to promote Big Draws across the UK and from next month
will focus on specific ones. So don’t delay. Make sure your event
is confirmed ASAP. If you are stuck for ideas, visit Drawing
in Action for inspiring case studies. Once you’ve made your
event description truly enticing, remember to check your copy
on our listings section to avoid typos or inaccuracies.
Let’s work together to make this the best Big Draw yet!
Big Draw London Highlight
The Campaign highlight event, Make
Your Mark on the Future: From London Bridge to Tower Bridge,
takes place on 22 & 23 October. Artists, architects,
archaeologists, illustrators and cartoonists will lead explorations
and celebrations of London's changing riverside and skylines. Venues
for this free festival include More London, Potters Fields
Park, Unicorn Theatre, Southwark Cathedral, Hay’s Galleria and Guy’s
Hospital. Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, who is a published
illustrator and Big Draw supporter, will launch the event at 11.00am
on the 22nd from The Scoop next to City Hall. Please join us there -
or on Saturday, the first day of half term. Bring your friends and
family.
We need runners, workshop assistants and photographers to support
the festival. If you want to volunteer, or know someone who would
find this valuable experience, please email admin@campaignfordrawing.org
